Hospital bag checklist

Welcoming a new bundle of joy into the world is one of the most exciting days in your life so be prepared, confident & relaxed as you approach your big day.

I have put together this handy checklist for your hospital bag so you will be ready to go when the time has come.

It's never too early to pack together all the essentials you will need during labour & birth and for after your baby is born. If you are planning for a house birth it is still good to have packed a hospital bags in case you have to go in unexpectedly. I recommend having your hospital bag packed by 36 weeks pregnant since you could go into labor at any time in the weeks before your due date.

Also you may want to bring a few items from home such as your own pillow, extra soft toilet paper to be more comfortable.

Leave jewellery, large amounts of cash and other valuables at home.

I recommend packing two bags, one for labour and another one for your stay at the maternity ward.

Having your hospital bag ready in advance can help you feel more secure and ready for whatever happens in your last weeks of pregnancy.
